Litquake is San Francisco's Annual Literary Festival. It starts on October 7th and lasts until October 15th and features tons of activities, authors, events, etc. Check out the link below if you're interested.

Litquake also sponsors Kidquake, which is hosting an event at USF this year. Kidquake at USF: Monsters in the Bookshelf will be held in Gleeson Library on October 15th, starting at 10:00 AM. Another aspect of this event is LitCrawl, which is happening on Saturday, October 15th. It will feature 450 readers and 79 readings in one night. http://litcrawl.org/sf/ If you want more information, this link will take you to the LitCrawl site, which has a list of times, places, and authors that will be reading this year.

  1. Our potential Lorna Dee Cervantes event (fingers crossed!) would fit into a series of author events and interviews during Litquake. Here's one of the bigger events on Facebook --
http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=278232172196460 -- if you guys are interested in checking it out. It's 21 and up on 10/14, but 10/15 includes student poetry and is open to all ages.

Also, two upcoming Saturdays (10/22 and 10/29) we'll be participating in and filming readings during LitCrawl. Bring a short text that's important to you (preferably en espaƱol) and come prepared to read on camera. I'll post more information if you guys are interested!
